Beautiful condition antique violin, made in Markneukirchen Germany circa 1880s.

Precisely carved and modelled in the Italian violin making style of a classical Italian craftsman, and as a tribute labelled "Wilhelm Nurnberger fecit Mantua 1783 JEDS".

This violin is very lightweight, with a clear and resonant tone. Clear and bold low notes, and with crisp and harmonious highs.

Well looked after throughout it's life, this violin has very few marks and no cracks.  Beautifully presented to you now after careful restoration and perfectly setup by Phil Whitehead at The String Workshop. With new ebony pegs, Larsen Tzigane strings, and a Pusch tailpiece. You will be delighted with the sound.
