The Mi-Si 'Acoustic Trio Vio' Violin pickup system features an active, battery-free preamp designed specifically to work with the Kremona piezo pickup for violin or viola. Install yourself in just a few minutes, slot the Kremona pickup sensor into your violin bridge wing slot, and then fit the adjustable 'carpenter jack' onto the side of your violin beside the chin rest.  The preamp for this system uses Mi-Si’s custom piezo linearization scheme. The extremely compact active battery-free preamp is built into the 1/4 inch 'Carpenter Jack'.

About the Kremona piezo pickup sensor:
Our best-selling violin pickup of all time, the Kremona is the best value pickup on the market. The wood-veneered piezo element fits snugly and safely in your instrument's bridge slot (particularly narrow slots may require a small amount of sanding to fit) and relays a warm, rich tone from your violin. The Kremona pickup is safe to use on any acoustic violin and easy to install or remove for players who go back and forth frequently between acoustic and amplified performances. This pickup installs effortlessly! Detaches easily when desired. Two clamps, similar to those on a chinrest, attach the jack to the side of the instrument. The clamps and feet are lined with soft cork to protect the instrument. Wedge the small piece of wood, the sensor, into the eye of the bridge.
